Fire Fighting and Emergency Assistance in El Grullo, Mexico

El Grullo located in the state of Jalisco, Mexico was the first community to receive assistance from TAPFIRE. This town of approximately 25,000 people had no fire department. TAPFIRE delivered their first fire engine and fire equipment in November 2005. Training was conducted in January 2006. A team of 15 firefighters traveled at their own expense to provide training in fire suppression, apparatus maintenance, hose, ladders, water rescue, rope rescue, pump operations, Emergency Medical Services, incident command and safety. TAPFIRE is currently in the process of determining follow up training needs.
